Dark and Bright Cave

Dark and Bright Cave is located at the boundary between Lan Ha Bay and Ha Long Bay, famous for its stunning limestone formations and rich natural habitat. Also lying within the protected area of the Cat Ba Archipelago Biosphere Reserve, this destination is ideal for tourists who love kayaking to explore natural landscapes.

The entire area is divided into two parts: Dark Cave and Bright Cave. Dark Cave is quite long and always swallowed by the tide, making it impossible to pass through and explore. Meanwhile, Bright Cave is short and illuminated by sunlight. Essentially, Bright Cave has a similar structure to Luon Cave. It is a small arch-shaped gate that can only be accessed by kayak or small boat. Passing through this archway, visitors will encounter a tranquil round lake surrounded by limestone walls of various shapes and sizes. Immersing yourself in nature, admiring the rich vegetation, and enjoying the fresh atmosphere all make for an exciting journey to Dark and Bright Cave.
